Cookies policy
What cookies we use, why we use them, and how to manage your preferences. Updated for UK GDPR and PECR compliance.
We use cookies to make our website work, understand how it’s used, and (only with your consent) deliver relevant marketing. Essential cookies are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies require your consent — manage your choices via the cookie banner or the button below.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They’re widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and provide information to site owners.
We also use similar technologies including:
- Local storage — like cookies but stored in your browser without expiration
- Session storage — temporary storage cleared when you close the browser
- Pixels and beacons — small images used to track email opens and ad impressions
For simplicity, we refer to all of these as “cookies” throughout this policy.
The four categories of cookies we use
Under UK GDPR and PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations), we group cookies into four categories. Only the first category is strictly necessary; the others require your consent.
| Category | Purpose | Consent required? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Make the site work — cart, login, checkout, security | No (legitimate interest) |
| Analytics | Understand how our site is used so we can improve it | Yes |
| Marketing | Show you relevant ads on other websites; measure ad effectiveness | Yes |
| Functionality | Remember your preferences (e.g. flavour favourites) | Yes |
Essential cookies (always on)
These cookies are necessary for the website to function. Without them, you couldn't add products to your basket, log into your account, or complete checkout. Essential cookies don't require your consent under UK law because they're necessary to provide the service you've requested.

Analytics cookies
We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve the experience. These help us see which pages are popular, where users are coming from, and where they encounter friction.
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled, which means individual users can’t be identified from the data we collect. We don’t link analytics data to specific named customers.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |

Manage your cookie preferences
On our site
When you first visit our site, you’ll see a cookie banner with three options:
- Accept all — enables all cookie categories
- Reject non-essential — only essential cookies will be set
- Manage preferences — choose individual categories
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the “Manage cookie preferences” button at the top of this page or in our website footer.
What happens if you reject cookies?
- Essential cookies will still be set — these are required for the site to work
- You won’t be tracked for analytics or remarketing
- Some personalised features (like remembered preferences) won’t work
- Ads you see elsewhere won’t be tailored based on your visit here
- Our website will still function for browsing and purchasing
Controlling cookies via your browser
You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- See which cookies are stored
- Delete cookies individually or all at once
- Block cookies from specific sites or all sites
- Set cookies to delete automatically when you close the browser
Instructions for popular browsers:
If you block essential cookies via your browser, some site functions (cart, checkout, login) will not work. We recommend using our cookie preference manager rather than blocking all cookies at the browser level.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. We currently do not respond to DNT signals because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret them. We do respect your choices via our cookie banner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this cookies policy from time to time as we add new services or change how cookies are used. The “last updated” date at the top of this page tells you when. We’ll prompt you to review preferences if material changes are made.
For broader information about how we handle your data, see our privacy policy.
